The current market conditions in the US have been a classic study in the effects of supply and demand; the supply of homes across the country have been low and demands have been high, causing competition—and prices—to skyrocket.
And thanks to the low supply and high demand, most Americans believe there’s never been a better time to sell their home than right now.
According to the 2018 Q3 Homeownership Opportunities and Market Experience (HOME) Surveyfrom the National Association of Realtors, a whopping 77% of Americans surveyed believe that now is a good time to sell (a record high for the survey). And most of the people surveyed also believe that market conditions will continue to favor sellers (53% believe prices will increase in the next six months).
